Passengers and visitors travelling by car or motorcycle to Hamburg Airport can simply follow the A7, exit Schnelsen Nord, and continue onto the Airport Bypass / Zeppelinstrasse. Alternatively they can come via central Hamburg.
Should the A7 expansion or other roadworks result in road closures or changes to the route to the airport, we will update this page with the most important information for you in advance.
During the night from Saturday, October 9th (9:00 pm) to Sunday, October 10th, 2021 (9:00 am), the A7 between the HH-Heimfeld junction and the HH-Volkspark will be completely closed. The Elbe tunnel is also affected. Please note the traffic diversions when traveling to and from Hamburg Airport and plan accordingly more time.
Coming from the south: Please leave the A7 at the HH-Heimfeld junction and follow the U7 diversion.
Exit towards the south: Please follow the signs "Elbbrücken" from the junction HH-Volkspark or from the AS HH-Stellingen (via Kieler Straße, Eimsbütteler Marktplatz).
The connection points themselves are closed on Saturday from 8:00 p.m. to set up and dismantle the full closure and will be released again on Sunday until 10 a.m.
