The new 2025/2026 winter flight schedule will take effect at Hamburg Airport on 26 October 2025 and remain in place until 28 March 2026.  Travellers can look forward to many new features: Condor is strengthening its connections to its Frankfurt hub, while SKY express is being welcomed as a new airline. Eurowings is bringing Marsa Alam back into its flight schedule and Wizz Air is expanding its connections to Eastern Europe. A total of around 55 airlines fly to approximately 120 direct destinations from Hamburg throughout the year.

"Hamburg is a central starting point for holiday travel worldwide. That's why we are delighted to be able to offer new destinations, additional airlines and expanded capacities with this year's winter flight schedule. The increased frequencies and close connections to important hubs such as Frankfurt, Doha, Dubai and Istanbul offer our passengers greater flexibility and a wide range of options, especially for long-haul flights to Asia, Africa and Latin America. This makes travelling even more comfortable and attractive for our passengers," says Dirk Behrens, Director Aviation at Hamburg Airport.

    Strong connections to international hubs

Starting with the winter flight schedule, holiday airline Condor is strengthening Hamburg's connection to its Frankfurt hub. Instead of two daily connections as before, the route will now be served three times a day starting with the winter flight schedule. Thanks to the close connection, passengers from northern Germany will benefit from even better transfer options to numerous Condor long-haul destinations, including Bangkok, Phuket, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Condor is also increasing frequencies on other routes during the autumn holidays: connections to Heraklion, Tenerife, Hurghada and Palma de Mallorca will offer a total of 6,500 additional seats for return flights. The airline is responding to high demand and expanding its range of popular holiday destinations.

The winter months also mark the peak season for long-haul flights from Hamburg. Emirates, for example, offers two non-stop flights to Dubai every day, while Qatar Airways flies to the hub in Doha, opening up further transfer options in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The Turkish hub in Istanbul can be reached several times a day from Hamburg with Turkish Airlines.

Wizz Air expands connections to Eastern Europe

Wizz Air continues to expand its route network in Hamburg. The airline has been connecting the Hanseatic city with Yerevan in Armenia since 1 October. Chişinău (Republic of Moldova) will follow on 12 December with three flights per week, and Tuzla in Bosnia-Herzegovina will be added to the schedule on 14 December. A new route to Podgorica in Montenegro has already been announced for March 2026. With a total of 13 direct destinations planned, the airline is significantly expanding its route network from Hamburg and creating new travel opportunities to Eastern Europe.

New airline at Hamburg Airport: SKY express flies to Athens

On 24 October 2025, Greek airline SKY express will launch its new direct service from Hamburg to Athens, complementing Aegean's existing offering. With three weekly flights from SKY express, passengers will have access to an extensive network of connecting flights within Greece and to numerous popular island destinations. SKY express operates Greece's largest domestic network with 33 destinations from Athens, including more unusual locations such as Naxos and Kastellorizo, as well as 26 international destinations.

Sunshine guaranteed: Eurowings flies to Marsa Alam again

From 28 October 2025, Eurowings will be adding twice-weekly direct flights to Marsa Alam in Egypt to its route network from Hamburg. This Red Sea destination is very popular with northern Germans and is now returning to the winter flight schedule – an attractive offer for holidaymakers and diving enthusiasts. This means that travellers now have another destination in Egypt to choose from in addition to Hurghada.

    Winter destinations from Hamburg

The flight schedule change also brings attractive non-stop connections from Hamburg for winter holidaymakers. Austrian Airlines is once again flying non-stop to Klagenfurt on Saturdays, ideal for a relaxing winter holiday in Carinthia. SkyAlps is increasing its service and flying to Bolzano five times a week – the perfect start to winter sports in the Dolomites. Other popular winter destinations from Hamburg include Salzburg and Innsbruck with Eurowings, as well as Rovaniemi and Tromsø in Scandinavia. Widerøe also flies to the winter fjord destination of Bergen. This makes Hamburg Airport the ideal starting point for winter holidays in the Alps and beyond.

Preview of the 2026 summer flight schedule

Highlights for summer 2026 have also already been confirmed: Hamburg Airport welcomes Royal Jordanian, a new airline that will fly twice weekly non-stop to Amman in Jordan from 28 March. This will give Hamburg a new intercontinental connection to Asia.

From 1 May, two new connections will be added to the flight schedule: Condor will connect Hamburg with Kalamata in Greece twice a week, and easyJet will expand its offering with a new direct connection to Marrakesh. From 27 March, Corendon Airlines will return with flights to Hurghada – and this time all year round, not just seasonally. TAP Portugal is significantly increasing its capacity to Lisbon by deploying an Airbus A320neo on the route in future.

In addition, services to Scandinavia are expanding: Norwegian will launch new direct connections to Stockholm in May, as well as significantly more flights to Oslo. A few weeks earlier, at the end of April, SAS will begin flights to Oslo, providing additional options for travellers heading north. From the end of March, airBaltic will launch twice-weekly connections from Hamburg to Tallinn, directly linking all three Baltic capitals.
