“With the start of the summer flight schedule, our route network continues to grow, in all directions. Whether it’s a city trip, a beach holiday or a business trip – our passengers benefit from an even wider range of flights connecting Hamburg with new and popular destinations,” says David Liebert, Head of Aviation at Hamburg Airport. “At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Royal Jordanian as a new airline to Hamburg Airport in the summer flight schedule, thereby further expanding the range of airlines at our airport,” adds Liebert.,” adds Liebert.
New intercontinental connection with Royal Jordanian
Shortly before the change to the summer flight schedule, on March 28, 2026, Royal Jordanian will start flight operations at Hamburg Airport. With direct flights to Amman, the capital of Jordan, another interesting destination in the Middle East will be accessible from Hamburg in the future.
New and recurring sun destinations – from North Africa to Southern Europe
Several airlines are adding popular sun destinations to their schedules: Corendon Airlines will fly to Hurghada again from 27 March 2026 and will serve the Egyptian beach destination in the future – three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays – adding another attractive option to the existing flight offering to Hurghada.
From 29 March, TAP Air Portugal will further expand its connections to Lisbon: Due to the increased demand on this route, the airline will use jets of the A320neo family in the future, thus significantly expanding the number of seats by 50 percent. The additional capacities offer even more opportunities to discover the Portuguese capital from Hamburg and to reach numerous other destinations beyond the hub.
Wizz Air will start direct flights to Podgorica from March 31, 2026. With the capital of Montenegro, the airline is adding the 13th connection from Hamburg to its route network, offering even more travel options to Southeastern Europe – a country that is considered an insider tip for tourists on the Adriatic Sea with its coast, mountains and historic cities.
easyJet will fly to Marrakech for the first time from 1 May 2026 – an exciting destination for those who want to experience oriental flair and desert landscapes. Condor will bring Kalamata on the Greek peninsula of Peloponnese back to its flight program from the same day. AJet is also expanding its offering: From 27 June 2026, the airline will connect Hamburg with Bodrum on the Turkish Riviera twice a week – on Thursdays and Saturdays.
More variety for travelers to the north and east

Norwegian is strengthening its presence in Hamburg with a new connection to Stockholm starting May 13, 2026 (four times a week: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) and additional flights to Oslo. The airline will thus double its capacity in the 2026 summer flight schedule.
The route network is also expanding towards Eastern Europe: On 29 March 2026, airBaltic will launch its connection to Tallinn. This means that all three capital destinations of the Baltic States – Riga, Vilnius and Tallinn – can now be reached directly and comfortably from northern Germany.
