4. Get to the airport in plenty of time

In general, most airlines recommend arriving at the airport at least 2 hours before departure. This avoids stress and leaves you enough time to have something to eat or relax at a café. Use a route planner such as Google Maps to check the current travel time to Hamburg Airport well in advance, and set off earlier than planned if necessary.

5. Secure and clever parking right at the airport

Reserve your parking space online in advance, because this is the only way we can guarantee you an available space. Booking takes just four steps, and you can do it on your computer, tablet or smartphone. We recommend reserving your parking space as soon as you have booked your trip, but at the very latest several weeks before you travel. It is not possible to make a reservation at the last minute.

Note: Please comply with the extended residents’ parking zones in the airport vicinity. In these areas, all vehicles must display a parking disc, and the maximum free parking period is three hours. Vehicles parked in violation of the rules will be removed at the vehicle owners’ expense.
