Passengers can once again indulge in a shopping tour to reduce their waiting time at the gate: after months of lockdown, many of the shops at Hamburg Airport have extended their opening hours again. And the range is growing too. Hamburg Transfers is bringing new services to the publicly accessible area, while the popular electronics store tech2go is soon to open a second shop and Marco O’Polo is relocating to a new shop.
“Browsing through various exclusive stores before departure is, quite simply, part of the experience of air travel. So we are absolutely delighted that the majority of our shops have re-opened. Once again, a diverse range of souvenirs, fashion and electronics awaits our passengers. Our world of shopping has become even more varied. In recent months we have welcomed four new tenants, with the latest arrival being Hamburg Transfers in Terminal 2,” says Lutz Deubel, Head of Center Management at Hamburg airport. “The new Marco O’Polo and tech2go shops, too, boast vivid new looks. Customers now have even more to discover here.”
This Hamburg company makes getting to and from the airport into a highlight. A private chauffeur brings passengers through the city in safety and comfort, and the service doesn’t stop when they reach the hotel or airport. Additional services range from carrying your bags to taking you sightseeing or on a city tour. Alongside private clients, businesses and event organisers can also benefit by offering their guests an exclusive reception in Hamburg. Hamburg Transfers is located on the Arrivals Level in Terminal 2, next to baggage reclaim. The company has a modern fleet, with the perfect vehicle available for every assignment.
Since opening in April 2018, tech2go has become a popular destination for passengers looking for more entertainment on the plane. There are headphones for music, audio books and films as well as powerbanks and charging cables to get your smartphone ready for a long flight. Thanks to its popularity, a second store will soon open at Hamburg Airport, adjacent to gate C15. Marco O’Polo, the fashion label, has moved to a larger store and now offers a wider range of clothing, bags and shoes in various price categories. The modern, redesigned store is adjacent to Gate A17.
New shops already opened at Hamburg Airport last year. Menswear store Olymp offer the perfect men’s travel apparel, with fashionable shirts, knitwear, t-shirts and accessories. Lloyd has premium ladies’ and men’s shoes in a range of styles. And if you are looking for a souvenir of Hamburg, the Hard Rock Café pop-up store is just the place, offering Hamburg-labelled branded shirts and hoodies, only available in the city. The shop also has a wide selection of souvenirs from this globally popular brand.
