Hamburg is once again directly connected with New York. United Airlines today resumed its seasonal intercontinental service from Hamburg Airport to New York - Newark. The airline operates the route with a daily service using a Boeing 757-200. The long-haul route from Hamburg to New York - Newark has been operated by the US carrier, United Airlines, since 10 June, 2005. Since the launch of the route between Hamburg and New York - Newark, 1.1 million passengers have travelled on a total of 7,687 flights.
